"An interesting nose is at once quite cool but also markedly ripe as there is a touch of bitter chocolate character to the nose of airy red berry and wet stone aromas. The finer but not richer or more voluminous flavors are definitely more mineral-driven while delivering slightly better depth and persistence on the balanced, youthfully austere and balanced finale."

"The 2023 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has a lifted nose with a slightly more savory bouquet, opening nicely with aeration: red berry fruit, sous-bois and light minty aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with quite grippy tannins, dark berry fruit and a more structured finish. Give this two or three years in bottle." —Neal Martin

More about Drouhin-Laroze

In Gevrey-Chambertin, Drouhin-Laroze holds some of the appellation's most coveted fruit—three premiers crus and grand crus including the legendary Chambertin Clos de Bèze. These Pinot Noirs taste like history and terroir combined, the kind of Burgundy that rewards patience and cellaring over decades. Polaner Selections brings them to America, recognizing them as among Burgundy's finest expressions. Serious stuff from a serious address.
