El Tequileño, a historic but still under-the-radar distillery, has been crafting high-quality tequila in the heart of Jalisco since 1959. Their Blanco expression, made from 100% Blue Weber agave sourced from the Highlands, showcases the clean, vibrant character that traditional tequila lovers crave. Distilled using volcanic spring water and rested briefly in stainless steel before bottling, it’s a crisp, terroir-driven take on the category.
Fresh-cut agave, lime zest, and white pepper jump from the glass, leading into a silky yet structured palate with hints of herbs and a touch of salinity. There’s a natural sweetness from the cooked agave, but the finish stays dry and refreshing.
