Robert Parker

92 points

"The 2012 Pinot Noir la Source Seven Springs Vineyard comes from rocky and shallow soils planted on old Pommard clone. There were twice daily punch-downs aged in 30% new French oak barrels for 16 months. The bouquet is very refined on the nose with black plum, violet and cold wet stone. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, a little more masculine at first, tightly wound with a nicely poised finish. It is a little reticent at the moment but it has the tension and that sense of energy to suggest long-term aging." —Neal Martin

Wine Spectator

96 points

"Sleek and silky, brimming with raspberry, blackberry, pear and licorice flavors that come together seamlessly on the long, polished finish. This has depth and presence. Drink now through 2022."

Wine Enthusiast

95 points

"Perfectly capturing the AVA's signature mix of herb, leaf, wild berry and white pepper in a compelling nose, this rolls into a full midpalate that is flush with tangy pie-cherry fruit. Some tasters may find it pushes a bit too far toward the herbal flavors. The overall balance is lovely." —Paul Gregutt

More about Evening Land

Evening Land is built on the Seven Springs Vineyard in Oregon's Eola-Amity Hills, an estate that's been shaped by a succession of passionate believers. Today it's helmed by Rajat Parr and Sashi Moorman, both obsessed with making elegant, European-styled Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays that sing. These are Willamette Valley wines with real poise.
