Fattoria La Rivolta is a benchmark producer in Campania’s Benevento region, crafting organic wines that highlight the rugged beauty of southern Italy. I Vigneti di Bruma is a pure expression of Aglianico, a grape known for its deep structure and aging potential. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards in Sannio, where volcanic soils and cooling mountain breezes shape the wine, this 2022 release balances power with freshness—something not always easy with Aglianico.

Brooding black cherry and wild plum meet notes of anise, dried thyme, and a whisper of smoky earth. The tannins are firm but refined, giving the wine grip without overwhelming its natural vibrancy. Compared to the more austere Aglianicos of Taurasi, I Vigneti di Bruma leans into accessibility, with just enough polish to make it inviting in its youth.

A perfect pairing for grilled lamb, slow-braised pork, or aged cheeses, this is a bold yet balanced take on one of Italy’s most underrated reds. While delicious now with a little air, it will evolve beautifully over the next 5–8 years.
