Val do Salnés is the coolest, wettest, most Atlantic corner of Rías Baixas, and Etiqueta Verde is the bottle that explains why that matters. Granbazán's estate sits at Finca Tremoedo in Vilanova de Arousa, roughly two miles inland from the Ría de Arousa, with Albariño trained on pergolas over decomposed granite that drains fast in a region that gets a great deal of rain. Fermentation is in stainless steel at low temperature, malolactic is blocked to keep the acidity intact, and the wine spends four months on fine lees for a bit of texture. The 2025 is built to drink now and cold, ideally within sight of shellfish. Salt, citrus and cut — the kind of white that earns a permanent spot in the fridge door.
