Coralie and Damien Delecheneau named this cuvee for the treble clef — 'Clef de Sol' — a nod to the musical streak that runs through the couple who farm this Loire estate biodynamically. It is a Touraine red built on two of the region's classic grapes, Cabernet Franc and Cot (Malbec), grown on old vines rooted in limestone and vinified with native yeasts in concrete, then left alone in old barrels. The result is precise and structured, with floral lift, dark fruit, and a mineral tension that keeps everything on its toes. 2023 was a warm, generous vintage in the Loire, so this drinks with real charm right now, but there is enough spine here to reward a few years in the cellar too. Loire red for people who like their reds honest, energetic, and a little bit wild.
