The Choblet brothers, a fourth-generation family working these vineyards since 1944, age their Melon de Bourgogne sur lie for years on end, completely upending what this wine can be. The 2015 is now eleven years old: waxy citrus, guava, saline minerality, wet stone. It challenges everything you think you know about Muscadet, proving that patience and limestone-rich terroir can create something layered and profound from this humble Loire grape.
