From the heart of the Loire Valley, Henry Marionnet’s 2022 Touraine Sauvignon Blanc Domaine de la Charmoise is a fresh, lively expression of the Sauvignon Blanc grape. Marionnet’s approach, rooted in sustainable farming and a commitment to capturing the true character of the land, is reflected in this wine—bright, balanced, and full of personality. The estate’s terroir, with its clay and limestone soils, imparts a distinct minerality that sets it apart from more traditional Sauvignon Blancs of the region.

This wine bursts with citrus flavors, from zesty lemon to green apple, underpinned by a crisp minerality that gives it a clean, refreshing finish. Its bright acidity lifts the fruit, making it feel light on the palate without losing depth. There’s a subtle herbal note that adds complexity and ties it back to the classic Loire profile, offering a harmonious balance of fruit, freshness, and structure.

Perfect for casual sipping or pairing with light dishes like seafood, goat cheese, or fresh salads, this Sauvignon Blanc is a wine that can easily transition from a relaxed afternoon to a sophisticated dinner. Whether you're familiar with Loire whites or new to the region, Henry Marionnet’s 2022 Touraine Sauvignon Blanc Domaine de la Charmoise offers a delightful, refreshing experience that embodies the best of the Loire Valley.

More about Henry Marionnet

Domaine de la Charmoise has been in the family since 1850, but Henry Marionnet is the visionary who rewrote Loire's entire story. He pioneered sulfite-free winemaking and resurrected pre-phylloxera grape varieties like Gamay de Bouze and Romorantin—vines grown ungrafted, franc de pied, tasting like pure terroir. His son Jean-Sébastien carries it forward with the same obsessive precision.

Loire Valley Wines

The Loire Valley is France’s greatest source of value for anyone looking for elegant, terroir-driven wines. Our collection celebrates the region’s great diversity, with the mineral-driven whites of Muscadet and Sancerre, the beautiful Chenin Blancs and Cabernet Francs from villages like Vouvray and Chinon, and natural wines from everywhere in the region. Sometimes wonderfully fresh and gulpable, sometimes serious and age-worthy, the prices are always very reasonable.
