A biodynamically farmed Vosne-Romanée from a small family domaine, bottled separately from the Aux Brûlées climat. That's a rare chance to taste one named piece of this village in a grower's hands, not blended away. Patrice Cacheux took over from his father, Jacques, in 1994 and changed a lot in both the vineyard and the cellar. By the late 2000s he had dropped herbicides, insecticides and anti-rot sprays and was moving toward biodynamics, and this bottle comes from biodynamic farming. The 2017 is an elegant, light-bodied Pinot Noir, and with several years in bottle it's a good time to see what this site and this family have to say.
