A sweet red, and unapologetic about it. Jeunesse is the easy-drinking line from Baron Herzog, the Herzog family's California winery in Oxnard, and this Cabernet Sauvignon is finished semi-sweet rather than dry — the sweeter style familiar from kosher holiday tables, but built on California Cabernet fruit rather than Concord. Serve it well chilled, which keeps the sweetness in check and pushes the dark fruit forward. Kosher.
