La Ferme de Jeanne makes easygoing, soulful wines in Bugey, a tiny Alpine region tucked between Jura and Savoie—and this 2022 Gamay is pure chillable red gold.
It’s got all the juicy raspberry and cherry fruit you’d want from Gamay, but with a streak of mountain air: herbal, peppery, and a little bit wild. Light-bodied, low alcohol, and so fresh you’ll want to drink it with a slight chill—even straight from the bottle (we won’t tell).
It’s picnic wine, fondue wine, weeknight pasta wine. Perfect for anyone who loves Beaujolais, Loire reds, or just something a little off the beaten path—but totally crushable.
