Leclerc-Briant isn’t just a Champagne producer—it’s one of the region’s most pioneering estates. Among the first to embrace biodynamics in the 1980s, the house has since become a benchmark for grower fizz that blends terroir transparency with a sense of quiet luxury. Their Extra Brut bottlings are always electric, but this 2019 vintage release takes it to another level.

Crafted from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay (with a touch of Meunier), the wine is fermented with native yeasts and aged partially in oak before secondary fermentation. Zero or near-zero dosage keeps things dry and focused, while lees aging lends texture and savory complexity.

The 2019 shows remarkable depth for an Extra Brut: golden orchard fruit, lemon oil, almond, and crushed stone, with a persistent, mineral-driven finish. It’s the kind of Champagne that drinks beautifully on its own but can also stand up to a full meal.
