Cantemerle is a Fifth Growth in the southern Haut-Medoc, prized for the elegance its deep gravel soils bring to Cabernet. Les Allees de Cantemerle is the estate's second wine, drawn largely from younger vines and made in the same spirit but ready to drink years sooner. The 2018 is a generous, ripe vintage, offering cassis, cedar, and graphite over polished tannins. This is a half-bottle in ex-negociant condition, drinking well now and ideal for a Bordeaux fix without the wait.
