Chapelle-Chambertin, mid-slope on limestone scree, yields this concentrated expression of Pinot Noir from the 2019 vintage. Les Parcellaires de Saulx made limited production from exceptionally low yields, capturing the granular density and berry intensity of the year while honoring the terroir's inherent elegance. Notes of cherry, raspberry, and red currant frame a structured, mineral palate.

Antonio Galloni

92 points

"The 2019 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru offers redcurrant and cranberry fruit on the nose, plenty of sous-bois and undergrowth coming through and rather dominating the aromatics with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, good acidity, quite cohesive with lightly spiced blackberry and raspberry towards the finish. It does not possess the finesse of the top wines from this Grand Cru in this vintage, though it should drink well for 10-12 years." —Neal Martin
