Liberté, Créativité, Cuvée! Explore Vins de France (VdF) with Ellen, 8/18/2026

$30.00
All French wines are “vins de France”, so what does the title “Vin de France” actually mean? Join us on Tuesday, August 18 at 6pm on our mezzanine to find out.

Join Ellen Sarembaud, whom you may have met at the "Sparkling Bastille Day" event, for an exploration of Vin de France (VdF), the category that's redefining what French wine can be.

This outstanding sommelier, a WSET Level 3 holder with a particular passion for French wines, will guide you through a world free from many of the traditional appellation regulations, where VdF gives winemakers the freedom to experiment, blend across regions, revive forgotten grape varieties, and push the boundaries of creativity.

In this masterclass, we will find out what Vin de France really means and explore how the VdF differs from AOC and IGP wines.

We will examine why some of France's most exciting producers choose this classification, and how French wines are winning with the rise of low-intervention and avant-garde winemaking.

Whether you're new to French wine or an experienced enthusiast, this class will change the way you think about labels, terroir, and tradition.

Please join us Tuesday, August 18 at 6pm on our mezzanine for a guided tasting of distinctive VdF wines that challenge convention while expressing a true sense of place.

Seating is limited. Tickets for this class are $30.
Cancellations can be processed for a refund with at least 48 hours' notice before the start of class. See all our policies here.
