Burghound

91 points

"Slightly more noticeable wood though not enough to be a concern for future transparency. The pretty and attractively complex nose reveals aromas of spiced plum and black cherry that complement the fresh, round and solidly well detailed middle weight flavors that possess lovely depth and length. This is not especially concentrated but the minerality one expects from a classic Estournelles is certainly present."

Wine Spectator

91 points

"Macerated cherry and a hint of licorice are complemented by well-integrated oak spice in this supple red. The light tannins offer support, yet this is charming and sappy overall."

More about Louis Roederer

Champagne's most independent house, still family-owned for 241 years and counting. Roederer's guiding principle remains what Louis himself believed: great Champagne depends on terroir, tradition, and vision. They own their vineyards, control their production, and prove Champagne can be an art form.

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
