A poignant and beautifully made Morey-Saint-Denis from a small, family domaine. Lucie et Auguste Lignier was founded by Kellen Lignier after the early death of her husband Romain, the talented Lignier heir, and named for their two children; she made her first vintage in 2006. Les Chaffots is a premier cru on the upper slope of Morey, on limestone-rich soils, giving a refined, elegant style of Pinot Noir. As a 2006, this is now a mature bottle from a graceful, classically styled vintage. Drink over the next few years.
