Robert Parker

90 points

"Macari's 2022 Cabernet Franc kicks off with a gentle tobacco note and a hint of green bean, but it balances that nicely with a mix of red and black cherries and an undercurrent of crushed stone. Like the 2021 version, it's only medium-bodied, but it comes across as a bit rounder, riper and more concentrated, with silky tannins and ample length on the finish." —Joe Czerwinski

More about Macari Vineyards

The Macari family farmed 500 acres on the North Fork for 50 years before planting vines in 1995. Joseph Macari Jr. was an early biodynamic pioneer, and now all grapes are farmed without herbicide, using homemade compost. The nearly 500-acre tasting experience sits right on the vineyard. This is Long Island wine at its most ambitious.
