Côte de Nuits-Villages covers the two ends of the Côte de Nuits - Fixin and Brochon at the northern tip, Comblanchien and Corgoloin at the southern - and it remains the most sensibly priced real estate on the slope. Marchand-Tawse, the biodynamic house Pascal Marchand and Moray Tawse run out of Nuits-Saint-Georges, treats it exactly like the wines with grander names: hand-harvested Pinot Noir off biodynamically farmed parcels, made the same way in the same cellar. Marchand is the Québécois who made his reputation at Comte Armand before converting Domaine de la Vougeraie to biodynamics, and he has been in partnership with Tawse since 2011. Harvest in 2023 began on 9 September and ran three weeks, with the house's reds mostly finishing near 13% alcohol. This one is already drinkable, but it will hold a few years.

Pascal Marchand, a pioneering organic/biodynamic Burgundian, partnered with Canada's Moray Tawse in 2011 to form this négociant-domaine. They hand-pick fruit from biodynamic vineyards and now farm parcels in 20+ appellations. The 2012 purchase of Domaine Maume in Gevrey-Chambertin strengthened their foundation. Biodynamic Burgundy, seriously pursued.
