The 2015 Barolo from Margherita Otto in magnum, a format that rewards both the patient cellar and the celebratory table. Founded in 2015 by American Alan Manley, who has worked alongside Maria Teresa Mascarello at Bartolo Mascarello since 2011, this young Monforte-based estate follows the old assemblaggio method: fruit from holdings near Ginestra (Monforte), Pernanno (Castiglione Falletto), and additional Barolo sites is co-fermented into a single Barolo, then aged 32-34 months in traditional botti. The 2015 vintage was warm and classical, producing approachable yet structured Barolos. In 1.5L format, this 2015 has aged more slowly than its 750ml siblings and is drinking with vigor a decade on, with another fifteen-plus years of potential ahead.
