Marquis de Terme is a Fourth Growth Margaux dating to 1762, and Cuvee 1762 takes its name from that founding year, the estate's second wine and a reliable showcase for the property's perfume and finesse. The 2018 blend leans hard on Cabernet Sauvignon at 77%, with 18% Merlot and a 5% dash of Petit Verdot adding spice and color. 2018 was a generous, sun-blessed Bordeaux vintage that produced wines of depth without losing freshness, and you can read both qualities here: dark fruit and graphite up front, floral lift on the nose, finely polished tannins through the mid-palate, and a long, savory finish. Drinking beautifully now with a carafe, with another decade of upside ahead.
