Evan Martin’s Martin Woods winery is at the forefront of Oregon’s new wave of site-focused Chardonnay, crafting wines that highlight elegance, structure, and terroir. Yamhill Valley Vineyard, one of the oldest vineyards in the McMinnville AVA, sits on marine sedimentary soils, lending the wine a distinctive mineral depth. The 2021 vintage, shaped by a cool growing season, brings both freshness and beautifully integrated texture.

Lemon curd, green apple, and white peach lead, with layers of hazelnut, wet stone, and subtle baking spice from restrained oak aging. The palate is both taut and creamy, with crisp acidity giving way to a long, saline-laced finish. Equally enjoyable now or with a few years of cellaring, this Chardonnay pairs beautifully with roasted seafood, creamy risottos, or anything kissed by butter and salt. A serious yet supremely drinkable Oregon Chardonnay.
