From a dramatic, high-elevation site in the Eola-Amity Hills, Martin Woods’ Jessie James Vineyard Pinot Noir captures the lifted, mineral-infused style that has become the winery’s signature. Dry-farmed and organically tended, the vineyard benefits from volcanic soils and constant Van Duzer Corridor winds, yielding fruit of natural tension and aromatic intensity.
The 2022 vintage opens with wild strawberry, cranberry, and pomegranate, layered with rose petal, white pepper, and a hint of forest floor. The palate is taut and fine-boned—more about finesse than weight—with whole cluster lift, bright acidity, and a long, saline finish. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in neutral oak, it’s a Pinot that hums with energy and transparency.
