Michel Bouzereau’s 2023 Pommard “Les Cras” comes from a 0.4 ha south-facing site planted in the early 1980s on stony clay-limestone soils below Premier Cru slopes. Farmed organically, the vines yield concentrated fruit with firm structure and mineral depth.

The wine ferments traditionally and ages one year in 25% new oak, followed by a short tank rest. A powerful yet refined Pinot Noir—layered, spicy, and built for aging.

The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit and, again, a little chalkiness in texture such that you might mistakenly detect the presence of stems here. Seven generations of Meursault winemaking converge in Michel Bouzereau's estate. He was president of the Burgundy Growers Union and a fierce traditionalist. His son Jean-Baptiste now steers the ship from their new winery (built 2009), commanding some of the Côte de Beaune's top parcels.
