Salamartano is Montellori’s flagship Super Tuscan, a Cabernet Sauvignon–Merlot blend grown in the rolling hills of inland Tuscany. The 2013 vintage has had a decade to come into its own, and it shows—layered, savory, and beautifully resolved, with the structure of Bordeaux and the warmth of Tuscany working in perfect sync.

Black cherry, cassis, and dried plum lead the way, followed by cedar, leather, sweet tobacco, and a touch of wild herb. The tannins have softened into a seamless frame, the acidity still present enough to keep things lifted, and the finish hums with earth and spice.
