One of the last family-owned Port houses standing, Niepoort has been in the Niepoort family since 1842. Dirk Niepoort is the fifth generation of his family making Port—he cut his first vintage back in 1987—and now his son Daniel has joined to mark generation six. But Niepoort isn't resting on Port laurels; they're making unfortified table wines across multiple Portuguese regions, blending old-world Port tradition with new-world ambition.
