Use code 10OFF to get 10% off 12+ bottles

Paul Gadiot’s Précurseur Extra Brut 2016 is a Premier Cru Champagne from the Ponson family in Montagne de Reims. Made from 50% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir, and 25% Meunier, it's biodynamically farmed, fermented with native yeasts, and aged 87 months on lees before disgorgement with zero dosage.

The 2016 shows richness and purity—apricot, almond, dried flowers, and creamy texture over a dense mineral core. A striking, low-intervention vintage Champagne with depth and energy.

More about Paul Gadiot

Paul Gadiot is a new label started in 2018 by Camille Ponson after oenology school. His older brother runs the family's original Ponson Champagne; Camille carved his own path in La Petite Montagne, west of Reims. Organic conversion (now biodynamic), native yeasts, no fining or filtration, very low intervention: the 'Précurseur' Extra Brut from premier cru fruit is the flagship. It's a young producer proving that Champagne's future lives in the margins.

Champagne

Champagne boasts some of the world’s greatest luxury brands with Krug, Cristal and, of course, Dom Perignon. But it’s also home to hundreds of small dynamic producers—farmers who grow their own grapes (often organically) and make (often with natural methods) tiny amounts of pure and absolutely delicious wine that reflect the individual personalities of their villages and terroirs. Toast with these wines, for sure. But also treat them like the great wines they are: taste, drink, explore!
