Charles and Ursula Massoud bought an Aquebogue potato farm on the North Fork in 1983 and planted vines; today their sons Kareem, Nabeel and Salim run the family estate. Chenin Blanc is a calling card, alongside serious Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Bordeaux reds. Certified sustainable, solar-powered since 2009 and poured at the White House, Paumanok is Long Island's quietly serious statement.
