Sleek and suave, practically devoid of any fruit but with highly concentrated minerality in the form of spring water, salt-covered rocks, golden hay, caramelized toasty crackers, orange oil, white pepper, a whiff of yellow peach skin, and wax. The liquid effortlessly glides across the palate with an almost-sweet center and a long, finessed finish. How can a wine so light feel so brimming and full of flavor? Forty-year-old vines, that's how! (And a whole lot of careful farming and winemaking.)
