Planteray, the house formerly known as Plantation, built 3 Stars as a blend across three islands: Barbados for roundness, Trinidad for clean lift, and a measure of Jamaica for the funk that gives the whole thing a personality. The result is a blender's white rum rather than a neutral one, which matters the moment lime and sugar enter the picture. Where lesser white rums vanish, this one holds its shape. The liter bottle is a fairly direct hint about intended use: daiquiris, mojitos, and punch bowls that people keep coming back to.
