Join us on Thursday, August 20, at 6pm on the mezzanine to celebrate a new generation of audacious winemakers who are breaking the rules and reinventing traditions with Lewis Kopman.

Enjoy fresh and saline coastal whites, symbols of Lisbon’s young independent scene, but also the purity of high-altitude whites grown on granite soils, born from a minimalist philosophy. Extend the experience with the original world of orange wines from the Douro, whose wild maceration breaks the usual rules of this iconic region.

Then, return to ancient methods and taste a co-fermentation of white and red grapes aged in clay amphoras just like in Roman times, red wines from centenarian vines made the old-fashioned way, and appreciate the exceptional potential of the country thanks to a great aged red wine matured for over 15 years.

About Lewis Kopman

Lewis spent many years as a fine & rare buyer and private client specialist at Le Du's Wines in the West Village, where he fell in love with the great wines of Portugal. In 2022 he left his job as a retailer to found GK Selections, focused on highlighting the very best wines of Portugal and bringing them to the US market. He travels and tastes extensively in Portugal and brings his discoveries to fantastic restaurants and retailers across the US.
