California Chardonnay from the man often credited with redefining the category, sourced from one of Russian River Valley's most storied vineyards. David Ramey founded his label in 1996 and pioneered a more balanced, Burgundian-influenced style built on native-yeast fermentation, full malolactic, and extended sur lie aging in barrel. The Rochioli Vineyard, farmed by the same family since the late 1950s, is legendary for Chardonnay of depth and precision. This 2023 is a current release showing the hallmark Ramey combination of richness and freshness, drinking well now but with the structure to develop over several years. A benchmark California white.
