Serious Chenin Blanc from the limestone heart of Saumur, from a producer at the top of the Loire game. Romain Guiberteau is renowned for his benchmark work at Domaine Guiberteau, and Les Moulins (bottled under his Chai de la Dive label) comes from organically farmed vines around the villages of Berrie and Épieds, where shallow clay-sand and silt soils sit over hard Turonian limestone. That limestone is the whole story: it gives the wine both breadth and the cutting mineral tension that defines Saumur's best Chenin. Whole-cluster pressed, fermented with native yeasts and aged on fine lees, this is a precise, chalk-driven white that drinks beautifully young but has the structure to develop. Loire Chenin for people who love white Burgundy.
