Wine made the way it was eight thousand years ago, in clay vessels buried underground. Rosha Winery, founded in 2015 in the Kakheti region of the country of Georgia, makes this amber wine from a blend of Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane, fermented on the skins in qvevri, the traditional Georgian clay amphorae sunk into the earth. That extended skin contact is what gives the wine its glowing amber color, gentle tannic grip, and savory, dried-fruit character. The 2024 is a genuine taste of the world's oldest winemaking tradition. Adventurous, food-loving, and unlike anything from Western Europe.
