The bitter Camatti is a great Genoese specialty, produced by infusion of flowers, herbs, aromatic roots and tonic through a special manufacturing process which the ancient author's original formula is still scrupulously followed and maintained without changes of sorts.

More about Sangallo Distillery

Distilleria Sangallo was established in 1964 in Monterosso al Mare, Cinque Terre, and has been making liqueurs and spirits from old Ligurian recipes ever since. Today, Stefano Bergamino and Camilla Moggia continue the family tradition. The winery is famous for Amaro Camatti, a historic recipe from 1923 made from herbs and roots—soft, approachable bitterness with dried citrus and warm spice. This is coastal Italian tradition in a bottle.
