Sébastien Magnien is one of the rising young talents in the Côte de Beaune, crafting expressive, terroir-transparent wines that marry tradition with a sense of precision and lift. His 2022 Volnay "Les Echards" comes from a prime village site just below the famed Premier Crus, on classic limestone and clay soils.

This is Volnay as it should be: delicate yet structured, with a perfume of red cherries, rose petals, violets, and just a hint of forest floor. The palate is vibrant and pure, driven by fine-grained tannins and lively acidity, with a subtle mineral backbone that speaks to Volnay’s signature elegance.

The 2022 vintage adds a touch of ripe generosity without losing tension, making this both a wine you can enjoy young and a smart candidate for short- to mid-term aging.
