Spain vs France: Blind Tasting with Simon Garron-Caine, 8/27/2026

$40.00

Come join us on Thursday, August 27, at 6pm on the mezzanine for a fun tasting exploring Spain and France, glass after glass.

You’ll taste each wine blind and try to guess where it comes from. France or Spain? Trust your senses, your impressions, and your instinct.

Spanish and French wines have been carefully selected to make the challenge both interesting and surprising.

No need to be an expert: this tasting is all about discovering, comparing, sharing, and having fun with wine.

About Simon Garron-Caine

Simon is a long-tenured veteran of the Spanish wine scene in New York City.
Formerly working as Wine Director for Bobby Flay's restaurant group Bold Food, he oversaw the wine programs at Mesa Grill and Bar Americain and built the beverage program for the Spanish/Mediterranean concept Gato, which opened in 2014 and took him deep down the rabbit hole of Iberian wine.

He's spent the last six years leading NY/NJ distribution efforts for De Maison Selections, a benchmark importer of Spanish (and French!) producers with over 30-years of skin in the game.

Will you be able to tell the difference between Spanish and French terroirs?

We hope you'll join us on Thursday, August 27 at 6pm on the mezzanine to find it out during this fun blind tasting, perfect for curious drinkers, wine lovers, and anyone who enjoys putting their palate to the test.

Seating is limited. Tickets for this class are $40 and a $20 store credit will be issued with your purchase.

Cancellations can be processed for a refund with at least 48 hours' notice before the start of class. See all our policies here.
