Tamdhu, Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Spirit from Scotland

Taxes and shipping calculated at checkout.

Tamdhu Distillery, founded in 1897 in Scotland’s Speyside region, is renowned for its sherry-cask-matured single malts. Using water from the Tamdhu Spring, the whisky is aged exclusively in Oloroso sherry-seasoned oak, giving depth, richness, and a signature dried-fruit character.

A classic Speyside malt, it balances sweetness, spice, and elegance. Best enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to open its complexity.

More about Tamdhu

Speyside single malt distillery built in 1897 by a group of blenders led by William Grant. Visiting a year later, the writer Alfred Barnard called it perhaps the most efficient distillery of its era. Since a change of wood policy in the 1990s, all of Tamdhu's spirit has been filled into sherry-seasoned oak casks, and owners Ian Macleod Distillers have built the brand around that. The result is fruity, deep and complex: cherry, dried fruit and spice.

Tasting Notes & Food Pairings

Perfect Pairings

Neat, or with a drop of water to open it up. Excellent with aged Manchego, Marcona almonds, dark chocolate, sticky toffee pudding, or a slice of Christmas cake.

Tasting Profile

Raisin, fig and dried orange peel from the Oloroso casks, with vanilla and gentle wood spice. Medium to full-bodied and rich, sweetly fruited but never cloying, finishing long and warmly spiced.
