We've always believed that exploring the world of wine is one of life's great adventures. Every bottle is a small dispatch from somewhere: a particular hillside, a particular grower, a particular year. The more of them you open, the more the map fills in. The Great Wine Journey is our way of guiding you through that journey, one month at a time.

Each month we'll choose two or three wines that tell us something worth knowing. Why can Mosel Riesling be bone-dry or lusciously sweet and still taste unmistakably of its slate slopes? What does Plavac Mali, Croatia's great coastal red, have to do with California Zinfandel? How can two Beaujolais villages a few kilometers apart make such different wines? Some months we'll pair bottles side by side to make a comparison come alive. Other months we'll simply take you somewhere you've never been.

Our travels will take us through France, Spain, Germany, Croatia, California, and wherever else the story leads. There are no territorial limits. There are only two rules: every wine has to be delicious, and every wine has to teach us something about the world of wine, in all its detail and its glory.

Every shipment comes with notes from our team explaining where the wines come from (map usually included!), who made them, why we chose them, and  sometimes what to cook alongside them. Think of these less as tasting notes and more as letters from the road.
