Torre dei Beati's next-door neighbor in Abruzzo happens to be the most famous grower in the region, but you'll spend a fraction as much to taste the same gorgeous terroir here. This is Pecorino, a once-nearly-extinct native white grape that Abruzzo has revived to brilliant effect, and Giocheremo Con i Fiori ("we will play with the flowers") is the fresher, more immediate of the estate's Pecorino bottlings. Fausto Albanesi farms his low-vigor hillside vineyards with real care, and the wine is all bright energy: citrusy, herbal, and faintly saline, with the structure that makes Pecorino such a serious white. A truly distinctive Italian white that overdelivers. Drink it young and chilled.

"The 2025 Pecorino Giocheremo con i Fiori is lifted, airy and precise, as lime zest and sweet smoke complicate crushed green apples and gingery spice. The palate is spicy, with zesty acidity amplifying tart orchard fruits as sour citrus adds further tension toward the close. This is distinctly salty through the chamomile-inflected finish.
