Tozai “Snow Maiden” is a classic junmai nigori—unfiltered sake that pours cloudy, with a silky, creamy texture and gently sweet profile. Named after Hanako, Japan’s oldest koi fish (who lived over 200 years!), Snow Maiden is all about quiet elegance and drinkability.
On the palate, it’s rich with notes of melon, rice pudding, and banana cream, balanced by a hint of acidity that keeps it from feeling heavy. The texture is soft and round, with a slightly rustic charm that makes it great with spicy foods, grilled meats, or even dessert.
Chill it down and serve it in a wine glass—or go classic with a small ochoko cup. However you pour it, Snow Maiden is cozy, comforting, and easy to love.
