A white Bordeaux blend from Chile, grown on vines that have never needed grafting. The De Martino brothers' Ungrafted project is built entirely on own-rooted vines — scarce, a privilege to farm, and, as the family sees it, the purest possible transmitter of both grape and soil. This one is a Semillón–Sauvignon Blanc off the family's Isla de Maipo vineyard, an old riverbed at the center of the Maipo Valley where the river once split into branches and rejoined (hence "Maipo Island"), leaving alluvial gravels behind. That's a lot of care for a wine at this end of the range, and it shows up as texture rather than oak. The family has been on this land since 1934 and still lives on it — the fourth generation, Marco and Sebastián, farm sustainably and vinify traditionally, on the theory that the place shouldn't be wearing makeup.

"The 2025 Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Ungrafted is a 50/50 blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc from Isla de Maipo that was aged for four months in large oak casks (50 hL). The nose opens with white fruit, herbal notes, ripe citrus and a soft touch of chamomile. Dry and fresh, the palate shows vibrant acidity, energy and a smooth texture. Tasting Profile
