A Burgundian Champagne if there ever was one. Valentin Leflaive of Domaine Leflaive in Puligny Montrachet has decided to take a leap north to the Grand Cru vineyards of Champagne. CV stands for Cramant Vertus, where he sources the grapes for his beautifyl non-vintage blend. 100% Chardonnay expresses golden apple, fresh citrus-y tangerine and lime with a salty, sea spray nose. The palate demonstrates finesse, fine chiseled structure and deep volume. Blood orange, tea, bergamot and a chewy-chalky finish demonstrate the Cramant/Vertus terroir perfectly.
