A ready-to-pour Cosmo from the team behind Via Carota, the West Village restaurant that still has one of the hardest tables in New York to land. Chefs Jody Williams and Rita Sodi built this bottled cocktail line around classics done properly, made in New York and sold ready to pour — no shaker, no measuring, no six half-used bottles crowding the counter. The Cosmo is the crowd-pleaser of the range: bright, tart, and much better behaved than the version that got overexposed in the late nineties. Keep it cold in the fridge and it's a cocktail in the time it takes to find a glass. Pour straight up into a chilled coupe with a strip of orange or lemon peel, or over one big cube if you want it to stretch.

Salty snacks that cut the citrus: potato chips with crème fraîche, oysters on the half shell, shrimp cocktail, fried calamari, prosciutto and melon, or a bowl of Castelvetrano olives and salted almonds before dinner.

Tasting Profile

Light-bodied and tart rather than sweet, with a zippy, lip-smacking acidity and just enough sugar to round it out. The finish is crisp, dry and short — it leaves you wanting the next sip. Serve very cold.
