Witness Tree Vineyard is a high-elevation, volcanic-soil site in the heart of the Eola-Amity Hills, and under the care of Walter Scott, it produces one of the most precise and nervy Chardonnays in the Willamette Valley. The 2023 vintage plays beautifully into this style, offering brightness, structure, and site transparency.
Expect aromas of lemon peel, white flowers, crushed rock, and saline, all wrapped in a tight, elegant frame with vivid acidity and quiet depth. There’s a bit of texture from aging in mostly used oak, but no heaviness—just balance, poise, and a long, chalky finish.
This is Chardonnay for lovers of Puligny or Chablis, with Oregon clarity and confidence. Drink now with seafood or lightly creamy dishes, or cellar for 5–10 years as it gains richness and complexity.
