"The 2023 Pinot Noir Sojeau Vineyard is understated and graceful. A perfumed blend of citrus zest and wildflowers complements freshly picked strawberries. Silken textures flood the palate, offset by mineral-laced red and blue fruits, all lifted by a core of wildly fresh acidity. The 2023 finishes structured and long, nearly crunchy in feel, with licorice saturation and a tart wildberry twang. Patience will be required. The cool-climate terroir of Sojeau comes through in spades." —Eric Guido

More about Crowley Wines

From Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Crowley Wines is producing some of the finest domestic Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays we know. Since its founding in 2005, the emphasis at Crowley has been terroir-focused and Burgundy-influenced Pinots and Chardonnays from some of Oregon’s top sites; this means high elevation, cool climate and a diverse range of soil types (not difficult in the Willamette, where volcanic basalt yields to marine sediment and silt). The work in the vines and in the cellar is minimal.

Prior to establishing Crowley wines, Tyson Crowley worked alongside John Paul at another Willamette winery, Cameron. There, he learned to work according to the season, the climate and the individual vine in front of him, all to preserve the purity of the fruit and the terroir.
