A tiny 0.4-hectare parcel bottled on its own — that's the kind of single-plot obsession that makes Édouard and Eleni Vocoret one of Chablis's most talked-about young estates. 'Les Pargues' is a village-level lieu-dit sited next to Les Forêts, one of the most southerly plots in the appellation, farmed the same low-intervention way as everything here: wild yeasts, no new oak, long lees aging, barely any sulfur. The result is the house signature in miniature — ultra-fresh yet deeply textured, with lemon skin, gunflint, and crushed rock all folded together. In the small, difficult 2024 vintage, every bottle counts. This is honest, mineral-drenched Chablis that overdelivers for a village wine.

"The 2024 Chablis Les Pargues was not touched by mildew, so it was cropped at 55 hl/ha! This has pretty, finely delineated yellow plum and crushed stone scents. The palate is taut and fresh, with crisp acidity and a twist of orange zest and clementine toward the persistent finish. This is excellent." —Neal Martin

Robert Parker

"The 2024 Chablis Les Pargues is a success in the context of the vintage, offering notes of lemon oil and spring flowers mingled with Granny Smith apple and oyster juice. Medium- to full-bodied, incisive and bright, it exhibits a crisp core of fruit structured around a racy spine of acidity, culminating in a long, searingly chalky finish. More energetic than En Boucheran, it is a true classic and also the most generous parcel this year, having delivered a favorable yield after being largely spared from weather-related complications." —Kristaps Karklins

More about Eleni et Edouard Vocoret

Édouard and Eleni met during the 2010 harvest in New Zealand and returned to Chablis in 2013 to establish their project. Hand-harvested, native yeasts, aged on fine lees in stainless and seasoned barrels—no new oak. In 2023, Édouard inherited five hectares more, including Grands Crus Blanchots, Valmur, and Les Clos. New-wave Chablis done right by a team trained under Vincent Dauvissat.
