A wine named in tribute to Colette Faller, the matriarch who shaped Weinbach as we know it. Colette passed in 2015, the year after her daughter Laurence, and her husband Théo before her — so this Cuvée Colette joins a small group of family-named wines at the domaine. The fruit comes from 50-to-60-year-old Riesling vines in Bonnes Terres, lower on the Grand Cru Schlossberg slope, where soils are deeper and sandier than the granitic heart of the cru. The 2022 is biodynamic, oak-fermented and aged, and shows beautifully controlled power — white flowers, tropical fruit lift, citrus zest, and old-vine Riesling depth, all balanced by Schlossberg's signature freshness and verve. A loving and serious bottle.

"The 2022 Riesling Cuvée Colette was harvested in the deeper yet granitic soils of the lieu-dit Bonnes Terres at the foot of the Schlossberg from 50-60-year-old vines. Just a glimpse of ripe Mirabelle appears on the otherwise shy nose. The full lemon-laced juiciness of Mirabelle hits the palate, pervaded by zesty freshness and framed by a gentle citrus pith that also makes the mouth water on the dry finish. Perfect Pairings

A serious Riesling that wants serious food. Pair with roasted poultry, sole meunière, lobster with drawn butter, scallops, choucroute, sushi flights, or aged Comté. Excellent with Thai green curries and richer Asian preparations that need bright lift.

Tasting Profile

Pale gold. The nose layers white flowers, lychee, lemon zest, and yellow plum with Schlossberg-derived mineral depth. The palate is concentrated yet vibrant — old-vine power balanced by tense, electric acid. Oak adds breadth without weight. Long, citrus-and-stone finish.
