No Es Pituko translates to "It's not fancy," and that's exactly the point: Viña Echeverría's natural-wine line is great wine without the pretense or the price tag. This is 100% Carignan from old, ungrafted vines planted back in 1923 in Chile's Curicó Valley, farmed organically, wild-fermented in steel and bottled with no fining, no filtering and no added sulfites. The result is a juicy, honest, gluggable red that wears its old-vine seriousness lightly. The fresh 2024 is built for drinking now: pour it, maybe with a slight chill, and enjoy. Natural wine that's actually delicious, from a region most people overlook.

More about Echeverria

A family that's been making wine in Chile since 1750 didn't break stride when they landed in the Curicó Valley in 1923. For decades they were content as bulk producers until 1990, when they decided to bottle their own wine and changed everything. Today they're still family-owned and still making some of the most honest, unfussy wines from the Central Valley.

Tasting Profile

Medium-bodied, juicy and fresh: black cherry, plum and baking spice with a touch of licorice, soft tannins, bright acidity and a clean finish. Great lightly chilled.
