Elena Walch’s Gewürztraminer Selezione 2023 is grown on limestone slopes in Alto Adige, where warm days and cool alpine nights preserve freshness. A short skin maceration precedes stainless steel fermentation and lees aging, giving the wine aromatic lift and refined texture.

The 2023 vintage is intensely floral, with rose, lychee, and spice on the nose. Full-bodied yet balanced, it finishes long and fresh—an elegant take on this expressive variety.

Elena Walch was an architect before she became South Tyrol's first independent female winemaker in 1985, and that precision shows in everything she makes. Her 55-hectare estate in Alto Adige includes the iconic 'Beyond the Clouds' blend, a wine that's become synonymous with elegant Italian whites. She's proven that south of the Alps, great wine is entirely possible.
